As the High Queen dies, Kihedra, the City of Jewels, is plunged into chaos and confusion. The next Queen refuses to ascend, and on all sides, the four Noble Houses reach a stalemate, each waiting on the next move. Only one woman can stop the city tearing itself apart, but she must leave the underbelly of the city to do so, braving the high society, a world apart from what she knows.

And in the dark, a shadow is stirring, an ancient evil that is trying to destroy the city forever…

For NaNoWriMo in 2012, I wrote a fantasy novel, set in something like late-mediæval Europe crossed with modern Manhattan, entitled Under Two Suns. I could not complete it during November, but I spent some time working on the story, and I’m planning to slowly release it, chapter-at-a-time. I don’t plan to publish it formally.

I’ve also written a draft of the author’s notes about my experiences writing it, which probably fit quite nicely alongside the diary entry I wrote at the beginning of December — the notes will likely explain a lot about characters, settings and ideas.

This book was my attempt at NaNoWriMo 2012;
it's still incomplete and full of rough edges,
please do not publish this anywhere else,
because I am still slowly writing for it,
attempting to finish this story and
even despite it, I could never try
to close the book on my dear
friends who became the real
Elchalyahn and Analivi,
and who fill my days
with stories and
make sure I
don't go
loopy.
